For this session, we had to bring in an object at least 30cm length to draw in the studio. I bought in a plant from home with a long winding stem and leaves in a black pot. To add to the objected I placed the plant in-between two chairs creating angles and depth to the scene, making more to work with.

In the studio session, I attempted to drawing with both pencil, fine line pens and charcoal and using illustrator since this is an area that I haven’t properly tried before. Illustrator has always appealed to me because of the amount of creative freedom it gives you with colour and line.

The physical work, created in the session, I was pleased with. Enjoying using charcoal and experimenting with bold lines – overall went well.

At home I continued developing some of the images I had created on illustrator, a simple collection of free hand drawings I had done without looking. Using these I went on to experimenting with colour, layers and text. Expressing myself and my view of the world this way really inspired me and I was happy with the outcome.
